Glancing over the Islamic History we come to know that first exhibition was held in sacred city of Makkah on the eve of Hajj. People of different races came to Makkah and displayed their quality products in an excellent manner on the streets of Makkah around the Holy Ka'aba. It gave boost in selling of their products. Thereafter this idea traveled across the borders of Makkah to the different parts of the world and Exhibitions were being arranged in African, Asian, European and American continents with changing modern styles.

In, past many exhibitions were arranged indifferent cities of Pakistan, for attracting the attentions of foreign as well as local buyers. No doubt Gujranwala is a famous industrial city of Pakistan, producing different kinds of quality products according to international standard, which are being exported to many countries around the world. Demand of our products in foreign markets is increasing day by day. Keeping in view the importance of Exhibitions for the exposure of local products, the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry had, for the first time in the history of Gujranwala, organized a marvelous event, 'Made in Gujranwala 2001'. It was an instant success. After the success of its second event last year, the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry looks forward to its third such event with unequalled zeal and eagerness.
