If we glance over the history of the Exhibition, we can see that they were being organized as far back as in the golden times of the Hazrat Ibrahim Alehis-salam. When Hazrat Ibrahim raised the foundation of Holly Kabba, people from the different parts of the Arabian Peninsula come to Makkah and displayed their products for selling purpose. Later we can see exhibitions of every kind being held in different parts around the world. Owing to the importance of Exhibition in trade and Commerce, GCCI also conceived the idea and arranged first "Made in Gujranwala" Industrial Exhibition during 2001. After the successful first and second exhibitions, the third exhibition is going on with full enthusiasm in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park, G. T. Road Gujranwala (Pakistan).

Made in Gujranwala 2003" Industrial Exhibition was inaugurated by the Honorable Lt. Gen. Faiz Jilani Corps Commander of Gujranwala. He reached in the exhibition area at 12:15 AM. He was received at the main gate of the exhibition area in colorful manners by Kh. Tahir Hassan President of the GCCI, Haji Ihsan Ullah Chughtai SVP, Ch. Shafiq Ahmed Shahid VP, Sh. Muhammad Naseem Chairman Organizing Committee of "Made in Gujranwala 2003" Industrial Exhibition, Sh. Muhammad Aslam Vice Chairman, Muhammad Akram Badshah Convenor Exhibition and rest of the members of the organizing committee and members of the executive committee of the GCCI.

Lt. Gen. Faiz Jilani HI(M) took keen interest in the industrial stalls and spent few minutes in each stall and exchanged his views with the stall holders and gave them good suggestions for the improvement of quality of product and marketing skills for boosting exports in the international market. He spent at least two hours in the exhibition area.
He expressed his idea in the following words: “I am very much impressed with the quality, design and packing of the product displayed in the exhibition area. He also wrote words of thanks in the visitor’s comments book”. “It is indeed a delight to be with the GCCI and witnessed good quality of different products in "Made in Gujranwala 2003" Industrial Exhibition. I am impressed with the quality of products and enthusiastic response. My best wishes and prayers for the success of this exhibition”.

At the end of the ceremony President of the Chamber Kh. Tahir Hassan presented him souvenir and Senior Vice President Haji Ihsan Ullah Chughtai presented shield of the Exhibition for commemoration of sweet memories of "Made in Gujranwala 2003" Industrial Exhibition.
