Mahfil-e-Mushairah
An all Pakistan Mafil-e-Mushairah was organized by Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce & Industry for the third “Made in Gujranwala” Industrial Exhibition on 29th of March. Eminent poets from all over Pakistan participated in the Mushairah with the main purpose of making people realize the importance of the current development and advancement in the field of Science and Technology. This was another attempt by Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce & Industry to motivate the industrialists to export their

goods to different parts of the world, so that the country’s economy can be stabilized. As in this modern age it is imperative to be familiar with the technology, it is impossible to think of life in the near future without the knowledge of Science and Technology.

study of Science in Pakistan to the common man. The Shuara arrived at the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce at 8:00 PM and were received by the President of Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce & Industry Kh. Tahir Hasan, S.V.P. Haji Ahsan-ullah Chughtai, V.P. Ch. Shafique Ahmad, Ex. President Sheikh Muhammad Naseem, Sheikh Muhammad Aslam, Haji Murad Ali, Riaz Mehmood Bajwa, Nawaz Ahmad Bajwa, Muhammad Abdullah, Ch. Muhammad Aslam, Sheikh Muhammad Akram Badshah, Kh. Zarar Kalim, Akhlaq Ahmad Butt, Rana Shahzad Hafeez and Qasimul-Karim.

The Mushairah was conducted in the auditorium of Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce & Industry. The Shauira-e-Karaam who took part in the Mushairah were, Chief Guest Munnoo Bahi, Amjad Islam Amjad, Ataul-Haq Qasmi, Khalid Masood, Zahid Masood, Noshi Gelani, Sayyed Wasi Shah. Also there were some of the local poets who took part in the Mushairah. There was a dinner party arranged in the honor of these respectable dignitaries. All senior officials of Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce & Industry along with the representatives of Textile and Industry were present at the occasion.
The Mushairah started at 9:00 PM and lasted lasted late into the night. All the participants of Mushairah recited the verses of their collections and Noshi Gilani recited her verses, marking the highlight of the Mushairah. It was a splendid night with all the literary dignitaries under one roof.
Munnoo Bahai and Ataul-Haq Qasmi were given shields of the exhibition concluding the most memorable night in the history of the third “Made in Gujranwala” Industrial Exhibition.
