Ladies Day
Ladies day was observed on 22nd of March 2003, in the exhibition area of the third “Made in Gujranwala” Industrial Exhibition. Mrs. Chief Secretary was present as the chief guest for the occasion. Upon her arrival at the exhibition area at 11:45 am, she was warmly welcomed by Mrs. Akram Badshah, Mrs. Najeeb Aslam, Mrs. Kasim Alkarim, Mrs. Kh.Tahir Hasan, Mrs. Shaheen Raza, Baji Rushda Sahiba and Mrs. D.C.O. Gujranwala. Mrs. E.D.O. Tahir Khurshid was also present to receive her.

While visiting different stalls of the industrial exhibition she expressed her pronounced appreciation for the tableware, melamine ware, porcelain and china clay order. She also praised the quality of plastic furniture and kitchen home appliances. During the four hours spent in the exhibition area the food stalls were also visited by her.

She left the following remarks about the industrial exhibition in the visitor’s book “To the Chamber of Commerce. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and felt welcome and taken care off. It’s amazing how our country developing today Pakistan … tomorrow the world. It’ reassuring that our industry can compete in the International market any way. Thank you for a wonderful day”. As the Chief Guest she also expressed her views that the industry of Gujranwala not only played an important role in the development of this country but also introduced Pakistan in the modern world.

After lunch the Chief Guest and all the officials were presented with shields from Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
