An Excellent Display of Different Commodities of Light Industries in Pakistan
On 27th March 2003, Ambassador of Sudan Mr. Muhammad Hussein paid a visit to the “Made in Gujranwala Industrial Exhibition”. Upon his arrival at 11:00 AM he was received by the President GCCI Khawaja Tahir Hasan, S.V.P. Chamber Ahsanullah Chughtai, V.P. Chamber. Ch. Shafique Ahmed, convener exhibition M.Akram Badshah, Akhlaq Ahmad Butt (member Exhibition committee), Ex. President Haji Murad Ali, Nawaz Ahmad Bajwa, Ch. M. Aslam, Khawaja Zarar Kalim, Rana Shehzad Hafeez and Qasim-ul- Karim.

President GCCI is giving away the exhibition shield to the Ambassador.
Mr. Muhammad Hussein visited the industrial area extensively and was highly impressed by the quality of the products displayed. He articulated his admiration for the high standards of the exhibition products displayed and praised the “Super Asia Muhammad Din Sons (Pvt) Ltd.” stalls and Plastic Furniture in particular. A brief visit was also paid to the stalls of the Engineering goods. He wrote the following remarks in the visitor’s book. “I am very much impressed by the display of different commodities of light industries and the progress that Pakistan is making in this field”.

On the same day, Minister for Industries (Punjab) Muhammad Ajmal Cheema also paid a visit to the exhibition. Arriving at 1:00 PM, he was received by the President GCCI Khawaja Tahir Hasan, S.V.P. Chamber Ahsanullah Chughtai, V.P. Chamber. Ch. Shafique Ahmed, convener exhibition M.Akram Badshah, Akhlaq Ahmad Butt, Ex. President Haji Murad Ali, Nawaz Ahmad Bajwa, Ch. M. Aslam, Khawaja Zarar Kalim, Rana Shehzad Hafeez and Qasim-ul- Karim.

Mr. Muhammad Ajmal Cheema expressed a keen interest in the textile products, asserting that the high quality bed sheets, carpets and prayer mats, cotton, chicken products and velvet products reflected the high standards of quality and craftsmanship the region’s people. He wrote the following remarks in the visitor’s book. “Export and more Export”.

After lunch both the dignitaries were presented exhibition shields form “Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce”.

Additionally General Manager (PTCL), Gujranwala Ch. Muhammad Anwar also honored the exhibition with his presence on 27th march. Arriving later on in the evening at 6:30 PM he was received by the President GCCI Khawaja Tahir Hasan, S.V.P. Chamber Ahsanullah Chughtai, V.P. Chamber. Ch. He praised the high quality of the products on display and wrote the following remarks in the visitor's book. "Well organized, well managed, with full security resulting promotion of manufacturing and growth, expert through GCCI. I wish that promises of Gujranwala may flourish leap & bound which is a great honor for Gujranwala. I am thankful that I have been given honor".
