Mr. Shamim Ahmed along with President GCCI looks at locally made motorbike inside a toyo stall

Shamim Ahmed, the High Commissioner of Bangladesh has said that the fourth industrial exhibition held at Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park in Gujranwala may provide an excellent opportunity to the industrialists of both Pakistan and Bangladesh to embark upon a campaign of mutual investment to set up factories for manufacturing motor cycles, ceramics, sanitary wares, utensils etc. He expressed full satisfaction over the fact that the people from all walks of life are turning up in large number to catch a sight of a variety of locally made products displayed in colorful stalls at the fourth industrial exhibition. These products range from simple eatables such as candies to plastic wares, crockery, cutlery, electric ceiling and pedestal fans, washing machines, geezers, coolers, stoves, water dispensers etc.

He put forward a couple of nice proposals to the industrialists of Gujranwala to accelerate trade activity between the two countries. He said it is advisable to frequently make arrangements for sending trade delegations to each other's country for exploring new avenues of sound investment in order to create more employment opportunities for the young, educated and skilled workers of both the countries who are doing nothing in particular but wasting their talent and potential. He expressed the hope that if the Made in Gujranwala products were exported to Bangladesh, it would bring a lot of benefit to Pakistan. He strongly appreciated the sincere efforts of the GCCI in holding such a brilliant exhibition in Gujranwala and hoped that they should come out with a nice idea of holding similar exhibitions in Bangladesh and other developing countries of Asia.

He was accompanied by the President GCCI Mr. Shaukat Javed, SVP GCCI Sheikh Muhammad Ali and the Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh, Nizamul Qaunain.
