Shahab Kahwaja cheif Executive SMEDA delivering informal speech to the GCCI officials |
Shahab Kahwaja,
the chief executive of SMEDA has expressed a great sense of satisfaction
over the successful holding of the 4th Made in Gujranwala Industrial Exhibition
at Gulshan-a-Iqbal Park. He was making a formal speech to a huge gathering
of distinguished people at the chamber hall after a brief visit to the
various stalls at the exhibition. The meeting was attended by Shaukat
Javed, President GCCI, Sheikh Muhammad Ali, Senior Vice President GCCI,
Sheikh Muhammad Aslam, Ex President GCCI Muhammad Akram Badshah Convener,
GCCI and many more. Muhammad Shahab Khwaja said that he really felt proud
to see the different articles displayed elegantly in various stalls. He
also felt extremely happy to see a multitude of people from all works
of life turning up to have a look at the variety of goods. People were
showing their keen interest in buying household articles at the ex-factory
rates.

Mr. Shahab
strongly expressed the hope that Gujranwala will positively achieve a
target of 500 million dollars in export within a period of three years.
He also deemed it wise to pay compliments to the strenuous efforts of
the GCCI in motivating the local industrialists to yield maximum production
to enhance the image of Gujranwala as a booming industrial city. He also
appreciated the task undertaken by GCCI in establishing long lasting ties
with the other chambers in Pakistan. He pointed out that Gujranwala Chamber
of Commerce and Industry is already working in collaboration with other
chambers to further promote industry to cater to the needs of a larger
community in Pakistan.
Summarizing
his valuable views on the 4th Made in Gujranwala Industrial Exhibition,
he said that he looks forward to the tangible results of the ongoing exhibition.
He also happily disclosed to the participants that Gujranwala, Gujrat,
and Sialkot have already formed a strong triangle in export and we positively
hope that Gujranwala will be able to establish its own individual identity
in export in near future.
