High Commissioner of Mauritius, his Excellency Mr. Rawandanat,
was chief guest on the second day of Made in Gujranwala Industrial Exhibition
2004 along with his wife. He was warmly welcomed by the president of GCCI
Mr. Shaukat Javed, Senior Vice President GCCI Mr. Sheikh Muhammad Ali
and Convener Exhibition Muhammad Akram Badshah. Haji Murad Ali, Sheikh
Muhammad Naseem, Sheikh Muhammad Aslam, Haji Muhammad Aslam, Khawaja Zarar
Kaleem, Mr. Nawaz Ahmed Bajwa, Mr. Riaz Mehmood Bajwa, and other members
of Organizing Committee were also present.
Mr. and Mrs. Rawandanat took a round of all the stalls
being displayed at the exhibition and admired the quality of the products.
They also praised the efforts of Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce & Industry
to conduct such exhibitions to enhance the attention of a common man to
the industry. Mr. Rawandanat added that Made in Gujranwala has become
a trade mark and is playing a catalytic role in the expansion of Gujranwala
Industrial goods.

Mr. and Mrs. Rawandanat appreciated the improvement in
the standard of this year's exhibition while comparing it with the exhibition
held last year. They further stated that Made in Gujranwala exhibition
is providing a platform for the industrialist to introduce their products,
which will result in increasing exports from Pakistan. Mr. Rawandanat
suggested that Gujranwala should export its products to African countries
as well. He also ensured his personal support for the enhancement of trade
between Gujranwala and Mauritius.
Mr. Rwandan wrote the following comments in the visitor's
book. "It has been a great honor and privileges for me and my spouse to
visit the exhibition. The organization is excellent. Gujranwala has all
the potential of being a leading Industrial hub. Best of Luck"
After the visit Mr. and Mrs. Rawandanat were awarded with
the exhibition shield and had lunch at Shelton Hotel with all the officials
present there.
