Kenyan High Commissioner promised to assist Gujranwala Industrialists

Kenyan Embassador, Omer Soba Showing keen interest in items

Omer Soba, the worthy High Commissioner of Kenya paid a formal visit to the industrial exhibition on 10th of March, 2004. He was offered a rousing reception by the members of GCCI and the management of the industrial exhibition. After exchange of formal greetings, he visited all the stalls along with the members of the delegation. He was greatly impressed by seeing different items on display manufactured locally. He not only appreciated the quality and standard of the different products but also acknowledged the matchless skills of the workers. He made it clear that Made in Gujranwala industrial exhibition is undoubtedly playing a significant role in introducing the Pakistani products to the rest of the countries of Africa, South Asia even Europe and
America.
 

President GCCI extending warm welcome to Omer Soba

Talking about the quality of locally made products; he said that it is for ever on the way of improvement. During his visit he was accompanied by Shaukat Javed President GCCI, Sheikh Muhammad Ali Senior Vice President GCCI, Muhammad Akram Badshah Convener exhibition, Nawaz Ahmed Bajwa, Khawaja Zarar Kaleem, Sheikh Muhammad Aslam, Haji Muhammad Aslam, Muhammad Abdullah and a host of distinguished industrialists and traders of Gujranwala.

He stressed the need to develop further the bilateral trade relations between Kenya and Pakistan, besides signing the W.T.O trade agreement, as early as possible so that the future challenges in trade and industry could be successfully faced. Addressing the business community at a farewell dinner hosted in his honor by GCCI he assured his full co-operation of moral support to the business community and to offer his valuable services as a Pakistani ambassador in Kenya. He wrote the following comments in the visitor's book: "This year's exhibition is excellently organized. The products are of international standards. I am profoundly pleased to be the chief guest for Made in Gujranwala Exhibition 2004. I promise to assist Gujranwala Industrialists to promote their products in Kenya. I pray to Allah to bless the people and shower the people of Gujranwala for their efforts and kind heart." He was presented with the exhibition shield at the end by President GCCI.
