Exchanging views with GCCI officials

Dr. Ishrat Hussain, The Governor State Bank of Pakistan while giving a briefing to the Members of the GCCI on the introduction of the new scheme for local manufacturing machinery said that Pakistan has taken a quick leap into a new era of globalization. He said if we want to keep pace with the developed countries of the world we will have to make use of the advanced technology in all walks of life so that we could not only accelerate the rate of export but also compete with China and other developing countries of Asia. He said there should be no compromise on the quality and standard of the products manufactured locally.

The president GCCI, Shaukat Javed had the honor to preside over the meeting hold at the Chamber hall. A large number of industrialists, traders, businessman and bankers from Gujranwala attended the meeting. He paid rich tributes to the people of Gujranwala who are diligent, honest, and sincere, devoted and are committed to their work and demonstrate their rare skill practically instead of raising high sounding slogans. He made a mockery of the high claims made by the big city dwellers that practically do nothing but just pay lip service to the people.
 
Focusing attention on one of the products

On the contrary, Gujranwala which is relatively a smaller city, with limited resources has raise on the map of the world as a thriving industrial, commercial and cultural centre later, he made for the Gulshan-e-Iqbal to catch sight of the 4th Industrial Exhibition. He appreciated the quality durability and attractiveness of the different items on display while taking a round to the Industrial stalls. He informally taken to the various stall holders and exchanged views with them over the public response to the panorama. He left the place after a short while expressing complete satisfaction over it.
